“Ikea”, the Swedish for, “Hate”

Not really, but this has been an *epic* thing to build. Two meters wide, over two meters tall, and more screws than i dare to count. And, still three doors to go…

Still, after almost a year of living my clothes in a heap on the floor, i can now pick one of the highly similar black shirts up out of a draw. Progress. Guess we’re staying!

    • Nothing left to do by the time you get back – should have the doors put on tomorrow… turned out that will some planning and good direction on M. it’s not impossible. but thanks for the offer.

    • yep, but that radiator has never been turned on… even when it was really cold this winter, that room was the right temperature for sleeping… might move it a little further away regardless 🙂

    • oh dear. that’s the first thing I thought when I saw the picture, too. God, I’m getting old…

  1. While you’re struggling with the assembly of those shelves, spare a thought for those who are not fortunate enough to live in a country with IKEA, even though, in a cruel twist, their country actually supplies IKEA with a lot of the pine they use.

  2. I’m looking forward to this being the start of a new series, absent the Great God “Drinks Machine”. If it is to be, though, I’m not sure how wise it is to have it in the room with you. Watching you sleep.

Wise words...
